Running the Dogs

Our crazy dogs love it when we take them to the baseball fields behind our house. You will notice the little brother Cash follows Lexi everywhere. Even in the pictures were he is front he is constantly looking for his sister. He is afraid to get left out. They ran for about an hour.

We would let them jump in the pond afterwards to cool off but it is almost dried up. So they settled for the backyard faucet and a belly rub.

All Because Two People Fell in Love...

They started It all

This was a great family weekend. Eric and Jordan technically were married two weeks ago in Vegas but weren't able to celebrate with everyone from Texas. Karen and Andy had an amazing party at their house. The Riffe's never do anything half way and this wedding reception was no exception.

Austin came home from Florida and brought the happy couple back some swag. He has been Goofy and Captain Hook all summer. I felt like we were standing in the presences of royalty.

Dondi came home form London. I was so glad I got see her these last 2 weeks. I miss her terribly but I know she is doing so much good across the pond. I'm glad we got to see everyone. Maybe the next wedding will be sooner then 5 years.

Prathco or Falther vacation

Colorado!! Prathco or Falther vacation was epic.

This weekend was so fun with the Falcos. Amy had never been to Colorado so we decided in April that this should be the destination of our vacation. Gian had been to Estes Park before and found an amazing cabin on the river.

The hiking, the eating, the laughing, the driving, the fresh air was amazing. Sam was a impressively good on this trip. He is walking everywhere now and is so perceptive. He can watch humming birds for long periods of time and he will stare and point in different directions on the wall. Amy says he see ghosts which makes me laugh. We hiked at Rocky Mountain National Park around bear lake. No worry there were no bears on this trip but we analyzed every scat on the trail. Stupid horse poop looks a lot like black bear...

Desert Rain

I love my crazy family- the one I married into and the one I was born into. This weekend we went to Las Vegas for my cousin Eric's wedding. If I could do it over again I would defiantly do it this way. My parents, Jacee, Chris and I left Lubbock at 4:50pm and got to Vegas at 5:00pm. In the airport my dad found a penny voucher next to a slot machine and put it in. He won one cent so he decided to "stop while he was ahead". He then found a dime and claimed Vegas was throwing money at him. Crazy guy.

We got to the hotel and we were greeted with hugs and kisses from Dondi! My Aunt Carrie , Uncle Jim, Jennifer Jacob, Grandmother and Granddad where right behind her ready to show us some love. Carrie did a great job setting out sandwich and snacks for everyone. She even bought a plastic kiddie pool, put it in the bathtub and filled it with adult beverages, cokes and waters.

Then It started to rain for about 20 mins. Who knew you had to goto the desert to finally see a thunder storm! Eric and Jordan showed up about and the party started. All the "kids" set out on the porch and laughed till about midnight. It was great.

On Saturday I got up 7 (Texas time). Thank goodness my mom is on the same clock as I am and woke up early. Dondi is on London time so she had been awake since 4 (noon London time). We all went and got breakfast for everyone and then had to wait till Vegas woke up to go and do anything.

We did the whole site-seeing thing
FYI:
There is some amazing people watching in Vegas

The wedding was at 6:00pm at Mandalay Bay.
The happy couple only had 30 minutes in the actually chapel before the next couple was scheduled. There was no Elvis to marry them. I know, i know I was disappointed too but it was short and sweet and beautiful.

It was a wonderful weekend and I'm so happy that Jordan is apart of this family!
