Dondi sent this to me while all of Texas was under snow & ice for a week. It wasn't only the ice it was also the -7 degrees for 2 days that had everyone on edge. It just doesn't get that cold around here. Our heater had a really hard time keeping up. We were very fortunate to not lose power. Many people around Texas did.
We spent 3 days straight hanging out in the basement
Chris put up sheets to keep the heat in. All 4 Prathers got the stomach bug during this shut down. We took turns and no one had it at the same time. Good news is we didn't have to take a sick day.
On Friday I took the neighbors and the girls up to my school to burn off some energy. Here are some ways we kept busy.
We watched a lot of 90's Disney's movies
Face Painting
Coloring
Ali took TONS of Pictures of PIP
Ali gave her Doll a make over
Ali made a barbie movie
Chris threw boiling water to show the girls how fast water freezes at -7 degrees
Ali played school with her animal class. I heard her say " Everyone get on your sit spot and if you don't learn these colors you are not going to graduate!"
Chris got the girls boxes to play with. Ali put the American Flag on hers. She had the family say the Pledge of Allegiance.
She is like a cat.
On Saturday after a full week of freezing rain and snow it lifted and it was beautiful outside. Ali asked for "donut hair".
Caroline got a new scooter for her birthday and she was able to finally play on it.
Ali had to work a cookie booth. She did really good.
I wore my Cookie earrings from Dondi
Caroline got to have a horse lesson in the indoor arena
Ali drew this for Chris. He was matching all our family socks. She even drew the fan going around. all the orange circles are all the socks laid out in the living room.
The girls got some donations for cookies. We donated our cookies to the nursing home by our school.
