We said goodbye to Pip AKA Pip-tavous AKA Tipper AKA Tipper Tony.
I feel so sad because Chris and I have had Pip our entire marriage. We first saw her at the Plano pound when she was just a few weeks old. Chris had a gray kitty growing up named Frisky and really wanted a gray cat. We named her Pip because at the time Chris was working for Personal Injury & Protection (PIP) at State farm. I also really like Lord of the Rings so she is also named after Pippin the Hobbit.
She had the weirdest personality and was always doing something funny to make us laugh. She loved to play with ponytails. We would watch her attack those ponytails and hide them from us. She also ate shoestrings. A few times Chris went to tie his shoes only to find it completely gone.
She loved to take naps with us.
In Plano our apartment had stairs leading up from the front door and she was always at the bottom of the stairs waiting for us when Chris and I got home from work. Then we would race her to the top.
She traveled to Chris's parent's house for holidays and love to ride in the middle. We took her litter box and she would take a giant poop about half way through the trip.
She loved to climb our Christmas tree.
She was always jumping in pictures. This was Chris's first day of work and Pip was right in the middle of the action.
She sat like a human all the time on the couch.
Nana was so sweet to her
Pip would alway finish our cereal milk when we were finished eating. She would sit right next to me while I ate. She was in my personal space until I finished.
More naps
She would people watch at the apartment
She would get really feisty she would be playing great then all of sudden she was done playing and she would bring out her teeth. Thank goodness she didn't have claws.
She loved being the center of attention.
When we moved from Dallas she made herself at home in our new house. She would climb in the rafters and watch the going on in the house.
She was very curious with Caroline when she was born. They became buddies. I never worried that Pip would bite Caroline.
She got pulled on all the time and just let Caroline lay on her.
She was in the middle of forts, tea parties, farm games and puzzles.
She also slept on her bed from the time Caroline got in her big girl bed until about a month ago
Pip loved the attention that Caroline gave her. They would have lots of conversations at night.
During school shut down she was on every Counseling zoom call to all my students. She made a great therapy kitty.
Still sitting like a human in chairs
When we put in screens for the backyard Pip would lay on the porch.
Pip, You will be missed by the Prather family. You were such a fun and sassy cat. You were greatly loved. It will be weird not being greeted by your furry face when I get home from work. We will miss you.
