Halloween 2021

This year for Halloween Ali was a wolf & Caroline was a deer.  The thought was Ali would chase Caroline from house to house as a predator.

Caroline did her own makeup through a youtube tutorial and it looked really cute.

For Halloween we found wolf stickers that looked so cute.

Trick or treating with the neighbors

We made a big loop in the neighborhood and were home by 7:00 to hand out candy at our own house.

Both girls ate their favorites and let dad have all the jolly rancher.  Chris and I put the Reeses in the freezer- we both agree that is the best way to eat Reeses.

Scary Wolf with vampire teeth.

Nana and Papaw Boo-ed the girls.  Caroline's dream is catch nana putting the treats on the porch.  Nana was too fast this year.

From this weekend:

My dad's big brother, Steve died and Chris and went to his funeral this weekend.  My uncle Steve lived in Midland his whole adult life and was a driver for the Midland Fire department.

Here is a picture with my granny and Steve as a baby.  When I think of my granny I always think of this great big smile.  Steve and my dad were close.
Here is granny with Steve's Corvette.
The pastor that officiated over Steve's funeral was my old paster in Denver City, Steve Brooks.  It was so good to hear him speak again.  He told some really funny stories about my uncle's life.  My Cousin's Jennifer and Nick said the pastor did an amazing job.

Here is a picture from my dad's birthday this year.

My dad sent me this picture while the family was going through pictures for Steve.  Here is a picture of my dad and my great grandmother who we called little granny and my great grandad.

Backyard Camp Out

Last weekend was our troop's backyard campout.  The little girls slept in my screened-in porch and the older girls slept in the backyard of the our neighbor who helps with the troop.

The little gils LOVED being outside but also getting to watch a movie at night.

Here is the older girl's set-up

The girls earned the star gazer patch.  We had 4 stations for the girls to work through.

The first station was glow-n-dark galaxy rock painting. This was the station I was in charge of.

The 2nd station was a constellation station done by Ms. Kristen.  Ali has been drawing the big dipper on everything since this lesson.

The 3rd station was Oreo Moon Station with My sister Dondi.  She is now a moon expert.  The kids loved this station especially because Dondi is so dynamic and fun.  It was almost a full moon last weekend.

The last station was snacks and Deminy talked to each group about spring planning & what trip they wanted to take in the summer.

Here are a few more pictures from the Camp out.  The only thing I didn't get was star gazing at the park and flashlight tag (Caroline's favorite)

Little girls and shadow puppets.

I love that my niece came.  I think all the girls had an amazing time!

Younger girls

The only picture I got of the older girls in their tent.  Ruby the dog got to hang out and loved it!

In the morning we had jungle breakfast.  Dondi and I hid bags of cereal all around the park early before we woke the girls up.  The girls went and "hunted" breakfast and then ate it around the park.

Caroline and her friend Devyn sat up on the monkey bars.

Ali and her friend Ellie doing more shadows dance party

The David family came to cheer Ali on at her soccer game.

Kids taking a rest after the game and the cat is taking up a whole beanbag.

In the afternoon Devyn had a horse birthday party and Jaden and Abby were invited.

After horse riding  all 8 of us went and played laser tag.  Ali was much more confident and ran around getting lots of points.

In the afternoon we had a one last swim party before it is shut down for the winter.

Sister love!

Dondi and Kyle got me Hamilton tickets for December and they got me an A. Ham shirt.  Chris ordered himself an A. BURR shirt.  I can't wait!!!

Saturday night all the cousins slept outside together on my porch.

Bunch after Church

I cleaned out closets and winterized both kid's wardrobes.  Ali found Caroline's old skates and has been skating non-stop since!
