Homecoming Week

This week is our school's homecoming week.  The theme is Decades Days:
Monday was 50's day.  Ali rocked the poodle skirt.  There were about 20 little kindergartens with poodle skirts and Ali was told she was going to be in the yearbook.

Luckily all the Prather girls own Converse shoes.
Tuesday: 60-70's day -Tie dye

Peace sign and the boy scout honor sign.

Kelley let me borrow a tie dye ACDC shirt.  I got some street cred from other teachers. Thanks Kelley for your awesome shirt!

Wednesday: 80's day: Neon

Thursday is picture day so I don't think many people will be participating in 90's day:
Here is an actual picture of me from the 90's
First day of 2nd grade- tall socks, Keds, mom hair cuts

Weird white tennis shoes - bangs- homemade Christmas shirt

Perm- fluffy white shirt

Grandmother and I with high waisted clothes

More from this week and weekend

Girl Scout Meeting:  knife safety

Girl Scout recruitment event.  Our troop was in charge of Camping and first aid

Families would drive around and when they got to our station Caroline and Ali would tell them about going camping as a girl scout and first aid.

Jacee is 30!

My baby sister is 30! The day she was born the school called me to the office to tell me my mom had a baby and it was a girl! They told me her name was Jacee and she had blue eyes just like me. I was so proud!

The whole family was able to celebrate in Las Vegas for Jacee's 30th birthday.  Flights were very cheap and everyone was able to get an essential workers discount at the Venetian on the strip.
The first night we had a BBQ at Dondi's house.

Cake and a crazy flower candle my mom brought

Presents!

Friday morning we went and brunch at the container park

It was a really neat area

Friday night we all celebrated at Lawry.  My mom said it is the best Prime Rib she has ever had!

She is looking lovingly at the prime rib being served to her.

More cake! Happy Birthday to you!

After dinner we went to an escape room.  It was the hardest at Trapped & was complicated.
This puzzle didn't have a chance:
My mom has been training for this day for 10 years as she has watched every CSI show ever made.
 Justin is a police officer
Chris can do any math problem put in front of him
My Dad moved all the furniture around
We beat it with 2 minutes to spare!

Jacee had my favorite moment.  One part of the puzzle said "Say the name of the author?" and Jacee screamed "IAN FLEMINGS!!!" a few times when we just needed to spelled out "Fleming" in blocks to figure out a phone number.  I laughed so hard it took me 5 minutes to compose myself.  I just love that girl so much!

Abby and I enjoying the biggest milkshake I have eatten.

Saturday we had a blackjack table to ourselves and everyone came out a winner! I finished with $76 extra dollars then I came with.

My dad played this craps game  at Fremont Street.  It was such a fun trip!

My mom left Jacee's baby book with me to get it to her.  These are my favorites:

Jacee at 4 year olds: She cut her hair and LOVED Barney.  I will never forget that people on the streets would tell me I had the cutest little brother so I started calling her Jason.

At her first Disney trip

She was so sassy!

At my grandad's birthday party

Easter

Happy Birthday Jacee Pacee!

From this week:

After Vegas everyone was exhausted.  Chris fell asleep rubbing backs.  I came to find him like this.

Ali found a Harry Potter tattoo and wore it to school

I am doing a lot of virtual counseling.  I had to step out of my office and took a picture of my "Be right back" sign just so I can remember how bizarre this whole school year has been.
