First Week of School

We made it through the first week of school.  The girls both love their teachers and both have good friends in class.  Friday, the girls and I wore our matching  shirts.

Caroline got to change out her earrings on Friday and had a hard time deciding on with pair to go with.

From Ali's teacher Friday.

Chris flew to California to help move his sister so the girls and I went to the movies for the first time since March.  The movie theater by our house is showing a bunch of old movies like all the Harry Potter movies and 80's classics.  We saw the new Trolls movie.  We had the theater to ourselves.  Ali danced and sang along without a care in the world.

Saturday: Caroline spent her money on a girl-scout barbie.

Last day at the Sun-n Fun pool

And Ali decided it was time to try the big slide.  She loved it! She went over and over.  See you next Summer Sun-N-Fun!

Ali draws animals all the time.  These came home in her take home folder this week.  Her kitty cat is pretty adorable.

Speaking of kitty cats here is Pip asking to come back inside.  Caroline had the idea to make Pip a sign by the back door so we didn't accidentally leave her outside.

Ali painted both sides and Caroline helped her spell with  the stickers.  Both girls drew cats.

Our school makes big black & white canvases that hang in the hallway of our school. All the pictures display  students on dress-up days, field trips, specials, doing funny things from the previous year.    When I got to school this morning Ali's picture was hanging up in the hall of our school.  This picture holds all of Ali's favorite  people from her grade.

Ali's Day

Ali has been the star the last few days.  First Sunday she helped lead worship at church.

She did the motions like a champ and was so excited to be up there.  Our church has done an amazing job.  The 2nd service has turned into Family Jam where Ms. Joy preaches, kids lead worship & there is a family devotion and craft.

The craft this week was make a card for your teacher.

The girls put a special treat in the card to let their teachers know they were prayed for.

Ali got to pick dinner and she wanted breakfast for dinner.  Chris got me an air fryer and we have been using it everyday.  Ali and I made heart donuts.

Then Ali got her ears pierced.
I wasn't sure how it would go but when Ali has made her mind about something she will do it.

At Open House.
She was really excited to be there until I asked to say cheese. Ali's new teacher is Ms. Casillas.  Mrs. Casillas is so kind and really fun.  Ali is going to have a great year!

Mrs. Casillas sent this little poem home from open house and even gave Ali a little packet of glitter to put under her pillow.

First day Of School

We have a kindergartner! She was so happy to go to school.  Notice she changed her clothes from the time we took pictures until Chris dropped her off.  She promised me one day without PJs.

Caroline is starting 3rd grade.  She has a sweet teacher named Ms. Brillhart. Ms. Brillhart taught 5th grade in Dallas before moving to here.

Parents of older students were not allowed in the building but I luckily got to walk Caroline to class her first day.

Hanging with Lolly & Grandad

Last week the girls were with Lolly and Grandad while I was working.  They always have the best time.  Ali was really excited because she has been hitting the golf ball up.

Lolly found Caroline like this.... Crazy kid!

They had so much fun with their grandparents!
Playing monopoly with dad.

This week Caroline help lead worship at church.

Ali is excited she gets to lead next Sunday.

More Outdoor Fun!
