Kouba Family

This week we said good bye to our dear friends the Koubas.  They moved to Abilene for a lot of good reasons but it really stinks for us. The Brightbills, Prathers & the Kouba moms and kids went to Cracker Barrel for a final good bye. It wasn't crowded so we knew 5 kids under the age of 4 would not ruin anyones dinner.

Ali's best friend Andrea sharing a moment rocking outside

Caroline and Jacob having a great time making noise in the corner.

Ali, Andrea and Karis playing with the soft toys

While the bigger kids attacked Sara.  She can't go to Abilene if she is trapped!  We will miss the Koubas. I'm so glad we started game night 4 years ago. I will always value and treasure our friendship!

Dress-Up week

This week is dress-up week at the girls school:

Monday- Texas Tech dress up
Tuesday- costume
Wednesday-crazy hair
Thursday- Superhero
Friday- PJ day

Here is costume day pictures with Nana.
Chris earned a really cool honor in the insurance world and was away in San Antonio for the week. Luckly his dad was able to go with him.
This last week for me is one of the busiest part of my job.
Graduation!
Getting  seniors finished, finalizing grades & transcripts, ready and dressed to walk across the stage has had me tied up all week.

Nana, Kelley and Jacee had to come and help on Tuesday as I was at school until the sun went down. I really appreciated their help!

Crazy Hair! Some how I missed super hero day picture but Caroline wore her marvels Captain america and black widow shirt. Friday was PJ day.  Thanks to Nana and Papaw the girls got to match!

When we got home the girls decided they wanted to play sleepover with their school nap mats. Daddy got home Thursday night.  We all missed him!  First order of business was to raise Caroline's bike seat up and then go for a walk to check the progress of our park.

My 4th graduation in the books!
Only two more weeks and summer can officially begin for the Prather's.

Gym Showcase

We had Caroline's last gymnastic of the year.  It was great to see her grow and get stronger in her balancing abilities and gymnastic skills.  Her teachers, Ms. Brooke and Ms. Shelby, were amazing and worked so well with this group of kids.  Some of her class she has been with since she was one!

My favorite thing she showcased was flipping over the low bar.  About a month ago she started doing it without help.  Ms. Shelby still spots her  because she has fallen a few times but each time she gets back up.
She mainly likes the hanging equipment but did a little routine across the high beam and did her version of "cartwheels" across the floor.  Also in my bias opinion she did the best donkey kicks of her whole class.

Ali got to play at the end and I think will be ready to go in August.

Doctor Visits

All the Prather's have had to see the doctor for various reasons this past week:
Caroline for her dentist 6 month check up
Ali for her 15 month check up
Pip the cat had to see the vet for the 4th time in 4 months

Caroline did awesome! No cavities.  She got a new princess toothbrush and more floss.

Ali had to get 2 immunizations.  She also had a good report.
21lbs- in the 50%
30.75 in 58%
She even gave Dr. S a high five as we were leaving.

Pip's experience was not as good as the first two:
Pip has been to the vet 4 times since January.  She starting getting sick with no other side effects and we are not sure why. She is currently on her 4th set of a different medication and a strict food diet. Poor girl is 10 years old- and is getting to be an old lady.

This weekend:

It rained most of the weekend on and off.

We spend most of the time indoors:

Using dad as a pillow.

Both girls playing together

I have such a little hipster- She is just missing the glasses

Also this weekend Caroline has been saving up her chore money for a magic clip Rapunzel doll. She has been talking about it for weeks. Sunday after church I took her to the store because she finally saved up enough money.  When we got there Ali found this little Snow White doll and was playing with it.  Caroline looked at her sister and then at a me and said, "Mommy, I changed my mind I want to get Ali this doll.". What a sweet gesture! My heart was swollen- I hope she always looks after her sister this way.  I ended up letting Caroline buy Ali the doll and and we found out that Caroline had enough for the Rapunzel doll too.

Little Fish

Summer this year is going to be fun. Both kids enjoy the water.  After swimming lessons in April Caroline and Ali have been more comfortable with the water.

Caroline and I actually went swimming without floats for the first half. I then had her put them on because I needed to hold Ali.  I think Caroline was getting tired by then so she was happy to put them on.

Ali was happy to play on the splash pad with dad.

More Swimming:

We got our "pool" out this weekend.  The girls and I were happy to just play in the backyard all Saturday.

Caroline used the slide to do all kinds of tricks into the pool

Even the neighbors came over to play

Ali in the floaty.  She was hilarious trying to eat the cracker in her hand.

My silly kids

No weekend is complete without a trip to the science spectrum.
