First Day of School

Caroline & Ali had their 1st day of school last week.  The summer went by so fast. Both kids were excited to start the new year.  

Caroline Prather: 

4th grade

3 teachers this year:

Rampy- Reading

Stoker- Math

Coronado- Texas History & Science

Excited most about Science & Math

Everyday she goes and checks on her 2nd grade teacher & her 3rd grade teacher.  Sometimes I see Caroline in the copy room getting things for her old teachers

 She really is the sweetest 1st grade teacher.  This is her 20th year of teaching.  She has lots of fun, dynamic ideas.  Ali comes home telling all the great things she learned all day.

The Davids moved to Texas!  It was so fun to have them here and we are pumped that we can have more weekends like this.  Here are some highlights from this weekend:

Ali had to get her passport renewed.  They told her she couldn't smile and so this is her holding one in. those pictures are always so weird.

Falco Fun

The Falco family came for the weekend.  I love when they are here.  The kids had the best time.  They made two movies.  

One of the movies was a swimming movie 

The hero was a kid named Sam who wanted to win a swimming competition 

Jack - named John Cena kept beating Sam

Finally Sam trained hard enough and was able to beat John Cena

It was hilarious watching them make this movie. The other movie was  about a bully and the hero beat up the bully.  Genius! 

Amy and I took the kids up to my school to play in the gym.  They made a neighborhood with hula hoops.

Night Swim

 The kids made a fort at the dirt hills.  Amy and I got to catch up. It is getting easier and easier as our kids are getting older.  I can't wait to see them again!

Ali "helped" my mom at the golf course.  My mom said she watch Bluey episodes in a clothes rack.  I bet she frightened customers. 

We have been watching little rascals the movie.  Ali has been drawing a circle around her eye like Petey the dog.

We have now volunteered at the animal shelter 3 times this summer.  It is one Caroline's favorite things.  Caroline makes sure we take every cat out of the cage to socialize them and we clean and fill water bowls up for all the dogs.
