Some funny ways she says words or phases:
Birs-day (birthday)
Bird B (her light pink bird blanket- it now has a giant hole in it)
still calls her sister Bear-Bear
Fresh-conditioner (the exhaust fan in the bathroom)
"Can I have some fresh water?" She never just says water....
She has a hard time saying her "r"s
example: wold (world)

She has kind- of a New Jersey accent

For her birthday party we invited our life group to the Mud Room

It was really fun! After the Mudroom we had birthday lunch at Caboose.

Thanks Dad

Big KISS!

Ali's favorite was the bowling game.

She had so much fun!

Curtis is 90

This weekend we went to Andrews to celebrate Curtis's 90th birthday. Curtis is a big gambler so the room was filled with dice, cards and his cake looked like a craps table.

Caroline and Ali wanted to run around outside. Ali fell into a sticker patch and 2 of the stickers went deep into her little hands.  Chris and I had to hold her down in the car to get them out. It was traumatic for everyone.  Almost all my family on my dads side was there.  It was great to get to catch up with my cousins.

Ali got her first birthday present.  In her card was $4!  She was so excited!  My mom and dad got her a little Minnie mouse rotary phone.  She has been making pretend calls all week.

Also this weekend Caroline lost ANOTHER tooth!

Girl scout cookies are hard to eat now

Last Tuesday 12 girls from our troop helped out at Lubbock Impact.  The girls worked really hard sorting and separating gloves, hats and scarves to be handed out.

What great helpers!

Girl Scout Cookies

Selling Girl Scout cookies was my least favorite part of being a girl scout.  We had to sell at least 500 each to go to one week camp free so we pushed hard for a mouth. Caroline likes it.  She was so excited to go knock on doors.  As a daisy she is only allowed to knock on doors with people she knows.

First stop was Aunt Kelley's house.

Next stop was the Lewis resident.  Kristen let us hang out with her and play with all her animals.

Last stop of the day was Aunt Jacee

Nana and Lolly were also asked and were so supportive of troop 6444.

This evening we went to Chick-fil-a.  Ali got her free ice cream and started chowing down. The paper fell off the ice cream and Ali said, " the ice cream's pants fell off."  We all started laughing.  Ali rolled her eyes and said "stop looking at his bottom"...... She is so funny!!

From the week:

Chris sent me flowers for the first week back.  I must have looked so sad on Monday morning because these showed up and I felt so much better!

All week the girls went to sleep so easy!  They were worn out.

2019

We rang in the new year with sparklers, pizza and watching the Greatest Showman.  We had 4 boxes of sparklers left over from 4th of July and used all of them.

The girls ran around the yard getting more and more comfortable with each sparkler

Caroline getting in as many bike rides as we will let her. It has been bitterly cold and windy so I can only stand about one lap at the park.

It has been really cold everyday this week so we have found tons of indoor activities.

Blazing Bouncer

At Build a Bear there is a bear that during your birthday month you pay your age.  Ali spent all her money on Caroline for Christmas at the beginning of December but started saving her money when she heard she could get a Build a Bear for $4! On January 1st she asked if we would take her.

She is so proud of her bear!  She name it Moana on it's little birth certificate but she calls it Mo or Birs-day bear.

Yesterday we didn't get out of our PJs until bath time to get into new PJs.  It was awesome.  My parents got us a air mattress.  It became our indoor trampoline.

What a great start to 2019!
