Christmas was magical this year. We were spoiled by our families and loved spending so much time together. Christmas eve we went to Nana & Papaw's house for snacks and to open presents.
Caroline got the cutest Princess Belle dress from Nana & Papaw. Despite snow on the ground and below freezing temps she has insisted on wearing it!
Caroline also got books, puzzles, some Disneyland finds from Aunt Kelley and Dusty's adventures to California & a new lady bug costume (she destroyed the old one by wearing the wings everywhere).
Mimi made me the best red couch pillows & Chris's parents got me this sign:
It's really big and I found a great place for it in the living room. I love it so much!
Chris got something to hold his poker chips and a really special picture of his Mimi's old house.
Ali liked pulling wrapping paper and shaking boxes. Some of her gifts were a rabbit from Mimi that sings and claps to "Happy and You Know it". She gets pretty aggressive with it when it starts to sing and dance. She also got a pink blanket that Aunt Kelley made. All the cousins have an Aunt Kelley Original. Mimi made a fabric ball that Ali has been throwing around. It was so fun and wonderful to spend time with the Prathers.
On Christmas eve night Caroline was fired up!!! We tracked Santa all day on my Santa Tracker App & Caroline counted down the hours until Santa came. She would ask where Santa was and then tell anyone that would listen that he was in Spain or in Nicaragua. She ran around the house trying to get ready. We made cookies for Santa but she wanted to set a banana out too. We let her sleep in her turtle tent in her room. She wanted to sleep with her Polar Express bell. Around 6:30 am Chris and I heard Caroline yell "Santa Came!!!" and she was ringing that bell as loud as she could.
It was still dark out so we opened presents from each other
Aunt Stephanie got Caroline a teaching school set perfect for her little imagination.
Our elf left with Santa on Christmas eve but he left a nice note for the girls.
When the sun came up Chris went out to get wood and discovered Santa built a fort in the backyard.
Her reactions was priceless! She wanted to play on it immediately.
We had to wait until the afternoon for it to warm up. She played on her swing set for about 5 hours.
We had the best day just hanging out
Christmas night the girls wore their matching jammies from Lolly.
From Earlier in the week:
Santa Working
A quick funny story. Wednesday night I was putting Caroline to bed we were reading a book when all of sudden we heard the drill make a high pitched sound. Caroline thought I tooted and made me say I was sorry. I took one for the team Santa.
