Ali has been planning the Girl Scout Halloween party for weeks now. I let her plan all the decorating, menu and crafts. She also had this fun idea after watching a video her Aunt Dondi made her cousin Jaden a laser obstacle with tape.
Ali had lot of ideas for a Halloween banner after she found bat stickers at Walmart. She asked me to pull up a drawing tutorial for pumpkins for her banner. She worked hard all day Saturday.
All the Girl Scouts were encouraged to bring a fun treat to share. Caroline & Ali made Pumpkin bars. The first batch was used to "Boo" Nana and Papaw. Both girls loved the recipe and ask we make it for the party. Ali saw the pretzels eyeball snack on Disney channel App and wanted to make it for the party.
I was asked very nicely to make hot chocolate for the party. I put chocolate milk from a carton in the crockpot on warm. Ali said I was such a good cook! (HA!)
Here is her banner
Here are all her bats
Tuesday morning we woke up to school being closed because the roads were icy so we sadly decided to cancel the Girl Scout Halloween party. Ali and Caroline still wanted to have the party so I called our neighbor who lives behind us and they were still up for coming. So Tuesday morning we made a "laser haunted house"
Ali really wanted to use glow stick because she said it looked scarier. (She just LOVES glow sticks)
It was so fun!
Nana and Papaw gave the girls cupcake mix and frosting. I'm glad they did so we could make cupcakes.
Ali put the final touches.
Ready for the Party!
Devyn, Deacon, Caroline and Ali started with Laser Haunted house. They played in the basement for a long time. They all moved the streamers around to make it harder. Deacon kept running through the streamers making it really easy for him.
Then they were ready to craft: They painted pumpkins and painted haunted houses
Devyn brought donut spiders. There was A LOT of sugar at this party.
It was a fun party.
