Snow Day

School was cancelled today!  It was great -we all stayed in our PJs all day.  I made Nana's stew in the crock pot and we were set. It started snowing early this morning & continued until the afternoon.
Caroline watched the dogs for 30 mins.  Cash & Lexi had a blast and made a huge mess of the backyard. The roads look like they were clearing up but Lubbock ISD still delayed Tuesday until 10:00am.   I'm just glad we had an extra day together!

Hotel Falco

We had the best weekend!  Chris, Caroline & I went to Dallas to celebrate Christen Leidner's shower.  She only has 6 more weeks until Rhyan makes her debut.

On Friday night we gave Caroline a bath, bottled her up and put her in the car.  She slept the whole 6 hours only waking in Seymour to get a Dairy Queen Butterfingers Blizzard.  When we got to the Falco's house Caroline went right to sleep- Amy and Gain stayed up with us talking till almost 3:00am.

Saturday morning the kids got up bright and early apparently not wanting to miss anytime together. Caroline thinks Sam is amazing and wants to play where he is playing.  I think Sam liked having Caroline around. For Lunch we ate at Square Burger in Downtown McKinney.   They have the best sweet potato fries & delicious sauce I have every eaten.  I would have made it my meal if I could have.

Saturday afternoon Amy and I went to Christen's shower while the dads played man-to-man defense.  The shower was at Brooke's house and she did an amazing job decorating. There were so many people there to love on Christen and her baby.

After we got back it was so nice outside we decided to take the kids in the wagon. Caroline is now an experienced wagon rider after getting one from her Aunt Stephanie & Uncle Luke for her birthday.

We stopped at a playground where Caroline watched Sam go down the slide.  Then she got a turn and loved it!

We got back to the Falco's house and ate an Italian meal cooked by Gian.  It was really good.  We put the kids to bed then stayed up way to late again. It was a really fun weekend!!

Texas Visitors

Hendricks clan came to Texas! On Sunday afternoon we went to Denver City to eat at Nana & Papaw's house. Nana made chicken fried steak and homemade gravy. Delicious!
Uncle Luke pushed the kids for about an hour in a white box that he turned into a boat.  I know he had to be tired but the kids loved it.

All the boys grilling rats {jalapeno poppers}.  It was surprising how nice outside it has been. We ate and played. It was so wonderful to see them! Caroline loves Leah & Lane and wants to be wherever they are.

Caroline's First Birthday Party

Happy Birthday to Caroline!  Her birthday party was really great.  She had so many people there that love and care for her.  The Hendricks family made the long trek from California to come celebrate with us. Dondi came from Vegas to see her too.  The party started at 4:30 -Caroline took a 3 hour afternoon nap right up until 4:30 so she was jacked up!
I had tons of help getting this party together:
My mom & dad came early to make snicker ice cream and to bring cornbread. Nana & Papaw brought twice baked potatoes, beans, & cookies with Caroline's name on them. Mimi brought pasta salad and chocolate covered strawberry. Jacee got balloons to put on the mail box.  Her and Dondi got there early to help decorate.

Chris smoked 5 racks of ribs & did an amazing job.

Caroline got so many great gifts! She loved the wrapping paper & boxes.  Leah and Evyn helped bring the gifts to her and even opened a few.  They were such great helpers.

A horse from Aunt Kelley

She was really shy when everyone sang her happy birthday.  She had a death grip on my arm and tried to hide in my shoulder. Leah helped blow out the candle.
She wasn't a huge fan of cake but loved the homemade ice cream

She loves her cousins

The Hendricks brought her a wagon! We have made several laps around the living room.  The great thing about this wagon is it has a hood and seats in it.

Caroline and Lane playing with her new magnets.  Lane showed her how to use the farm magnets.

Some of the party decor.  Happy Birthday little girl.  Your mom & dad love you so much!!

My Love!

Happy Valentines Day from the Prathers. {forgive the purple socks} Our little love is feeling so great these days.  We have one more doctor's visit tomorrow and then we can put all this sickness fun behind us.

At daycare everyone in her one year class brought Valentines. I didn't get this memo.  I hope Caroline wasn't shunned by her friends because her mom didn't bring a gift for everyone.  One little girl named Macey brought every kid a bowl and matching spoon & forks. Macey set the bar high for the other parents.

Chris sent me the best flowers to work! Very pretty.  I brought them home to add the birthday party decor for Caroline's party this weekend.  We are doing a red and white heart theme because valentines cupcakes are 1/2 off tomorrow.

From earlier this week: We got Caroline a Lion Heart Wheely bug for her birthday.  She loves it!  It is really sturdy and pushes easily.
She had the funnest look on her face when getting pushed around the room. We made several laps around the couch.

Caroline had her first taste of ice cream! We went to Sheridan's Tuesday night and brought 2 vanilla scoops home.  She is defiantly a fan!

She had a little sugar rush and then passed out around 8:00.  She had a fun day!
