Caroline's Harry Potter Birthday

Caroline and I have been reading Harry Potter every night for the past few months.  We are currently in the middle of Book 5 the Order of the Phoenix .  The end of book 4 one of the character dies and Caroline mourned for a few days before we could start book 5.  For her 8th birthday party she wanted a Harry Potter theme slumber party.

Floating candles

Caroline invited all the girls in her class so no one felt left out and they all came!

Pizza and Cake:  and Harry Potter Party Games

Potions Class where all the girls made slime

Ali felt like a big kid because the older girls helped her feel included.

Nana and Papaw saved the day because they picked up helium balloon during the day so Caroline and friends could make white balloons into Owls.

Nana got Caroline the sorting hat.  It was such a hit! The last girls went to sleep at 1:30.  Pip the cat woke everyone up at 6:30 with her retching sound.

Saturday:

Aunt Dondi and Uncle Kyle gave Ali a American Girl tent.  Ali thought it was the perfect place to hang out and read.  She asked for marshmallows to be added to the grocery list because she is playing camping.

Saturday afternoon Ali was invited to a princess party where the real Belle princess was there!

All the little girls were asking tons of questions.  Ali asked " What is the beast's first name?".  Belle didn't know how to answer and moved to the next girl before Ali could ask anymore questions.

Sunday: Superbowl Sunday

We made a second batch of butterbeer cookies for the superbowl party.

Ali had a second birthday party to attend with one of her best friends in her class. After the party we went to Nana and papaw's house for a superbowl party.

Ali enjoyed most of game making crafts! Chris won a McAlister's gift card during the  first quarter of squares.

This is how she spent the last quarter.  She used my back and legs as a mattress and comfortably watch the game.

Nana gave the girls prizes for each quarter.

Kaden got a prize too!

Ali made the Little Gym Facebook page.
