Last Days of August

This weekend was 106 and Monday was 110.  We pulled out the blowup pool  in the morning and stayed cool. The girls had a blast!

The neighbors came over Sunday after church.  Ali and Deacon bumped heads and Ali ended with a sweet black eye.  Ali came up crying and Deacon was rubbing his head. She was holding her forehead but quickly went back to playing.

Monday she woke up like this.

From the school week:

Ali and Caroline have helped me put up the flag every morning since school started. Ali LOVES to pull the flags to the top.

Mrs. Lov sent me this picture.  I love being in the same building as the girls

I took one of teachers duty while she was out sick so she brought both my girls lunch! Ali eating with her friend.
Caroline dressed in her boots today.  She just looked so cute.

Conversation with Ali:
Me: "Ali, do you want to try a piece of dark chocolate?"
Ali: " It's kind of good and kind of tastes like a doorbell"
Me:  "How do you know what a door bell tastes like?"
Ali: "Oh Emma brings one everyday in her lunch"
Me: " Do you mean a ding dong?'
Ali: No, It Is A Dooooorbeeeeell ( Says it slow because she thinks I'm slow)

This morning I had to get up early to get fast passes for an up coming celebration for my parents.    Pip looked very annoyed to be woken up or she is mad to be left behind.  Either way she looks like she will hurt me in my sleep.

Riding Lessons

Caroline started riding lessons yesterday.  The equestrian center has 4 week programs throughout the year.  Most of Caroline's time yesterday was learning how to groom the horse and put a saddle on.  The trainer made her carry everything herself. Carrying the saddle was difficult but she was very determined to do it herself.

She learned basic stop and go and and had the horse go around cones.
By the end of the lesson she was good at pulling right and left on the reins and was ok at stoping and starting.  Her trainer said she needed to work on her "whoa"s and pulling up on the reins.

She can't wait to go back next week!!

New Job

I moved campuses over the summer.  I will be an elementary counselor for the 19-20 school year.  I will be at the same school with Caroline and Ali & to say I'm excited would be an understatement!!

Ali and I are making the same face when I found out I was able to move down.

School starts next Wednesday and I can't wait!

Last week:  Last week was Vacation Bible school at our church.  It was fun theme and both girls grew a lot!
