First Day of School

Caroline is now a kindergartner.  She had a great first day and was excited to go back a second day- A great sign!

Dad walked Caroline to class

Ali was glad to get to see Bear bear's room and was really mad when we made her go to her own school.

Kindergarten Camp

Caroline had Kindergarten camp on Wednesday.  I did a terrible job getting pictures. It was during the day so Dad and I took Caroline while Ali stayed at daycare. We walked up to the school and Caroline was so excited until she saw how many people were in the cafeteria waiting. Her teacher, Ms. Becker, took all her students to her classroom. Caroline was really nervous to go by herself but was brave.  Her eyes watered as she left us and managed to wipe just one tear off her cheek before they took her.
Chris and I stayed and listened to all the adult boring stuff we needed to know for the first day of school. After it was over we went to Caroline's new class and she was in there having a great time, painting a rock. I had to fill a bunch of first-day forms out while dad helped Caroline pick a locker.  She decided on the top locker right in the middle.  It seems to be a small class.  One little boy, we saw in her class has been in her Sunday school at our church since she was a baby. Another little girl we randomly know her parents threw Stephaine.  Lastly, a little girl was holding the same Build-A-Bear stuff animal Caroline has and they sat next to one another. I think she felt better after being there.

Afterwards, Caroline had to go to Monterey with me.  I ended up having a ridiculously long meeting until almost 6:00.  Caroline sat through the whole thing in the corner drawing, coloring and playing on the IPAD.

Caroline wanted an Elsa hair style on Thursday. French braids are hard for me. Pony tail or pig tails are about all I have in my wheel house.

Also on Thursday, I wouldn't let Ali play in the cat's litter box with her farm animals.

"I mad with you mom! Cow want to play at the beach!

Ali was still "mad with me"  until we got to school. Also, notice that Caroline buckled Ella into the middle seat.  I was informed that Ella is 8 years old so she didn't need a car seat.

Mingo

Aunt Jacee and Mr. Justin got Ali a Flamingo from their trip.  Ali loves this flamingo and all week has been carting it around. She has loving named him Mingo.

A few nights ago I went it to check on Ali and this is the conversation we had:
Ali: Momma can Mingo have a gumball?
Mom: No baby, Mingo can't have a gumball
Ali: Sorry Mingo maybe for breakfast

Mingo has gone to school and Sunday school. Ali gave him specific instructions not to bite his friends.
 She is so much fun!

On Thursday we made Unicorn Cookies at a local bakery.

Ali ate a lot of her frosting

Caroline was very careful to make her unicorn perfect

Which one did Ali do?

Friday shenanigans: Dad pulling the blanket around

Dance party!

Caroline helped me make slime for a Sunday school lesson.

Ali "Helped" too

Back to Work

Work has started back.  I cried when I dropped my kids off at daycare for their first day.  I'm sure I'll cry again when Caroline goes to kindergarten in a few weeks.
Here are a few pictures from the week:

My dad bought the girls Mickey and Minnie Fat heads for the playroom wall and my mom brought  this little shelf for $1.

Waiting for Caroline to finish piano lessons

Back-to-school hair cuts

Hair Dresser- "Ali, what fingernail polish color do you want?"
Ali- "I want brown with glitter"

Her new favorite thing to make is slim.

Ali has such a wild imagination. She likes to play with her animals and they do and say hilarious things!

Monkeys jumping on the bed

Riding bikes

Love these little girls!
