Ali is Three!

Ali is Three today!

She is hilarious and so smart!
What I want to remember about Ali right now:
Size 3T
Shoe size:7
Favorite foods: yogurt, mac and cheese, chicken, and M&Ms.
Least favorite: Things with weird textures/ fish
Favorite Toys: Farm animals, Peppa Pigs, playing play-doh, doctor/vet with her stuffed animals and coloring with markers

Favorite book: Ferdinand the Bull, Five Little Monkeys, and Peppa books
Favorite shows: Peppa, Paw Patrol, Doc McStuffen

She loves her sister and wants to do everything she is doing.  Caroline is a great big sister to her.  At night they stay up and talk and play (waaaay past their bedtime)

Funny things Ali does:
She wears Pjs under her school uniform every day to school.  She likes her striped pants and rocket pants and if she HAS to wear regular shirts she wants her "Dory" shirt or "rocket" shirt.

When someone does something forgetful (like not shutting a door or can't find something)
She says "I worry about Y'all"
and then shuts the door or helps us look for our item.

She will not sleep in her own bed: She sleeps in the sleeping bag on her floor or in Caroline's bed.

She still sleeps with a sound machine and her bird "B" (Blanket) and she likes to tuck her stuffed animals in at night.

She crosses her legs when she watches TV

She really says the funniest things! Yesterday I asked what she wanted to do for her birthday and she told me "Eat a hotdog!" and started laughing.

She still says "Mom, I hold you" when she wants me to hold her.

She is the class clown and gets in trouble in school for talking.

a band-aid can fix anything in Ali's eyes

She is very strong-willed and will be a great leader someday.  She is protective of the people she loves. She is constantly learning, is so smart and hilarious. She does not stop talking until she is asleep.

Chris and I love her so much!
For her birthday Dad and I took her to 50th Street Caboose.  As a Lubbock-ite I'm embarrassed to say I had never been here.  It was really fun!  We went early and beat the crowd.

The staff sang Happy Birthday to Ali.  She proudly stood up in her chair as everyone sang to her.

Caroline after the singing said "That embarrassed me that everyone was looking over here."  Ali didn't mind at all.

Ali got a $10 gift card from the caboose staff and Caroline got $10 for making all "A"'s on her report card from the staff.

Funny thing is Caroline hit the 1000 ticket jackpot.

She was pumped!  Chris had to sit there for over 5 minutes to collect tickets.  There was crowd standing around watching.

Working the claw machine.  It was fun!

Ali picked out her birthday present on Saturday and wanted me to take her picture with Chase.  Silly girl!

First Lost Tooth

This morning Caroline lost her first tooth!  I remember when that little tooth popped through her gums when Caroline was only a few months old.  She has been monitoring this bottom tooth for a few weeks now.  We noticed last week her permanent tooth was coming in behind all her teeth.  The dentist called it a "shark tooth" and because it wasn't eroding the roots of the baby teeth they might not fall out on their own.

Well, this morning it finally happened! That baby tooth had a long front root on it.  Looks like the tooth fairy is making an appearance at the Prather's tonight!

Breck

This weekend Chris and I went skiing in Breckinridge Colorado with the Falcos!  It was so fun! Shout out to Beverly and Ricky for watching our babies for a few days.

Chris, the Falcos and I flew into Denver and then drove to Breckenridge.  It started snowing Saturday night after we got there and dumped 10 inches. Sunday was harder to ski because it was still snowing a little.  My goggles kept fogging up and then freezing making it difficult to ski on Sunday.  Monday was probably the best ski day I have ever had.  All the runs were perfect and not icy at all.

Amy had never skied before and she did great!

Chris is a great skier and a fun partner to ski with

At night we finished this puzzle and played games.

We also ate really good every night.

We matched and not on purpose!
We do this all the time probably because we are too cheap to buy new clothes.

It was such a fun trip!

From last week:

Caroline got invited to a painting birthday party.  Ali enjoyed the marker table.

Painting her Texas

All done!  It turned out great and Dad agreed to put it up in his bathroom.

Rodeo

This weekend we helped Dandy Rough at the Sandy Hills Rodeo. With the help of my mom we blew up over 100 balloons for balloon animals the night before.  As soon as we got there Caroline got in the face paint line.

Bbutterfly for Caroline!

Ali told me she was going to ride the horse by herself and she did!

Both kids made themselves at home before helping pass out balloon animals

Ali got to go a bunch of times.

Ali's turn!

Ali wanted a butterfly too.

Balloon time!

We handed out balloons as the kids left.

Lolly reading to Caroline and Ali.

We had the best time!
