Swinging on the Bar

"Gym, Gym" -This is how Caroline asked Chris and I to go to The Little Gym. We hear it all week long and every time we drive by it we have to sing the welcome song.
The start of the song goes:
"Ohhhhhh everyone please shake your shaker and sing along with me"
I get it stuck in my head all the time.
She had a great gym this week. They played with the parachute {her favorite} at the beginning of class on Tuesday.

Caroline working out how to cross the bars.

Swinging on the bars was her favorite explore activity this week.

Of course we couldn't leave without the stamp on both hands and the tops of her feet.  She is so proud of the stamps and shows them off until we wash them off in the bath.

 Wednesday:
Caroline opened a gift from her cousins Leah and Lane. This picture was a failed attempt at a smile &  creepy Pip is in the background but you can tell how neat her new place setting is.

Thank you Hendricks Family! She ate Fruit Loops in her new bowl for breakfast this morning and loved it!

Fantastic Falco Weekend

Friday night Chris, Caroline and I hit the road to Dallas to see one of our best friends the Falcos! Caroline talked to Chris and I for about an hour on the road and then slept most of the way there.  When we got to the Falco house Caroline went straight to bed and we stayed up late talking.
Amy and I signed up for a race in Ft Worth early Saturday morning. There were soooooo many people at the race.  Amy and I spent the first mile dodging people trying to get around them.  I laughed so hard when Amy busted through a couple trying to hold hands.

It was a really good race.  I miss my running buddy! When we got back to her house the kids were already playing together.  Caroline got Sam a turtle tent for Christmas. They played "hide from the monsters!" Sam shared his helicopter.  This was one of Caroline's favorite of Sam's toy.  Sam put it on his head and Gian flew it off.  Caroline thought this was awesome!

Having lunch at Rosas

The Falcos got Chris and I the best Christmas present.  They bought us a gift certificate to IFly Indoor Sky Diving.  It was awesome!!!

Caroline and Sam eating a snack while watching us suit up. We had to watch a safety video, get our suits, helmets, safety glasses and ear plugs in and we were ready to go.

It was so fun! We got in a vertical wind tunnel with glass all around and it really felt like we were flying.  I laughed and smiled the whole time.

Chris did great! I love this picture because you can see Gian in the back ground cheering him on.  Also Gian was wearing this hilarious tiger tail on his helmet.  It kept hitting the instructor on the face. After flying we were all hungry and went to Norma's, a great county style diner. Yum!! We got back to the Falcos and put the kids to bed and again stayed up way too late talking.

On Sunday Brooke took our family picture at Arber Hills park. It was fun because the Leidners and Falcos also got their pictures done too!

More of those pictures to come.

Brooke is so talented.  She took one of my favorite pictures of Caroline when she was 9 months old.  I have a feeling these pictures will be right up there with that one.

After pictures we all went and ate lunch.  It is sad to say good bye but I know we will see them again soon.
Caroline was worn out.

Side note:  I got 2 warnings driving home.  The first warning was from a police officer in Bridgeport.  I'm pretty sure I wasn't speeding but I think Caroline got me out of the ticket by being so adorable.  She greeted the officer with a "Hi!" when he came to the window and told him "bye-bye" when he left.
The 2nd warning was from a Highway policeman 30 minutes down the road.  He pulled me over because my inspection was out. Not sure how he saw that while I was driving 75 but he did.  I think maybe they were looking for  so criminal in a black car because it was crazy to have 2 people pull me over so close together.

Little Light Weight

Caroline had her 2 year check up this morning at 8:45.  All week long we have been talking about going to the doctor. We even watched a Daniel Tiger episode about going to the doctor. The little song from this show has been stuck in my head and popping up when I least expect it.

"When we do something new let's talk about what we'll do"

We told her about checking her ears, eyes, heart, height and weight. When we were actually having the check up she did ok until we had to get her blood pressure.  That little blood pressure machine and Caroline became enemies fast. Caroline made a huge scene {probably scaring any kid in the lobby about what was coming} and the machine stopped working. After calming her down the rest of the check up went ok.  It helped that daddy let watch some saved videos on his phone.

She stood by her self on the scale.

 Her stats were:

Weight: 23.4 - 9%
Height: 33.75- 56%

Tall and skinny-
Dr. Soriano said she was very healthy and developmentally on track. She also said she was on track to be 5'7" when she was an adult.
We were told there would be no shot- YEAH!! but then they turned right around and scheduled a blood draw right after the appointment- BOO!!! We didn't have much time to talk to Caroline about it but she did good considering.

I took Caroline to school with a red band aide on her arm. She must have been really proud of it because  Ms. Kelly {her teacher} said she showed off it off to her classmates.  Caroline also talked about the doctor looking at her eyes and ears all day long.

For being such a great little patient I took her to the playground close to our house after school .  She still doesn't love going to the doctor but it wasn't a horrible experience like in times past.

Valentine's Weekend

Caroline was very festive on Valentine's day- thanks to Nana and Papaw. I loved her puffy pink vest and plan on wearing this outfit a lot more times before it gets too hot.

Chris sent me flowers to my school.  They really brightened up the office.

When Chris got home from work we opened our Valentine's.  Lolly and Granddad gave her a flip up heart book and a cow purse.  Caroline insisted on carrying her blanket in the purse.  Daddy gave Caroline costume jewelry. Caroline colored Daddy a card with markers {her favorite form of crayola products.} Mimi gave Caroline Valentine socks. She put them on right away!

Saturday: Most Saturday mornings we go get donuts.  One of my students works at Rise and Shine donuts and if he is working he will give Caroline donut holes for free.  He wasn't working today but one of the ladies recognized us and gave Caroline a sprinkle chocolate donut!! Caroline was pumped.

The day only got better.  She went on a little sugar rush and danced through the living room.  It was surprising warm today so spent most of the day outside.

The sunglasses, from her cousins Leah and Lane, were from Valentine's last year.  She insisted on wearing them to the park.  There were tons of families there enjoying the nice weather.

I love those two so much!!
