Tuesday night was pirate night. Another event on Disney that everyone participates in.
On Tuesday morning We made pirate crafts.
then more swimming.
On the big screen in front they played continuous Disney movies. It was a good way to let the girls know how much time they had left. I could say things like:
"after Mulan is over we are going to lunch."
Pirate night was really fun!
All the Characters dressed like pirates. Caroline liked Chip and Dale the best because they were funny! Ali requested to go to Kid's club while we met the characters.
Mickey Mouse
Donald Duck
She did want to meet Tinker Bell so we went and got her for this character
Ali found the treasure! Yum! Chocolate coins!
Even Dad pulled out an oldie but goody pirate shirt
There was a show and fireworks on the deck
On Wednesday we were in St Thomas. We didn't get off the boat at the first 2 ports mainly because it would be work and we were all about relaxing on this vacation.
They have a really fun game on board called Midship Detective. We got a map and a special card that made some of the the paintings talk and give clues. We walked around the ship trying to find out the mystery. There were 4 cases to solve. We ended up doing 3 of them. Caroline really liked this game!
We met Chip and Dale again
And finally got Pluto's autograph.
This night we ate at my favorite meal:
Animator's Palace.
We were given these placemats first thing and given instruction to draw a person in the line. At the end of diner they turned our cartoons characters into a music dance with Mickey and a few other characters. It was so neat!
Caroline and Ali made their own cupcakes for dessert.
Caroline met Mickey and Stitch
Ali agreed to be photographed with Minnie if I held her.
Look I'm a Unicorn!
Watching Toy Story on the pool deck
Character dance party
More relaxing about to go watch a movie
Jesse from Toy Story
Ali was wearing her Cinderella dress from Taylor's wedding and we ran into the real Cinderella! She really liked Ali's Butterflies.
Captain Ali
Silly Ali turned her bread into a bracelet.
The girls went to kid's club every night. Chris and I went to shows and relaxed for a few hours. Almost every night Caroline requested we leave her for another hour.
Scary lion ready for bed.
The routine was get Ali from kid's club, bath, brush teeth, read her story and put on a Disney movie. In the room all the TVs had every Disney movie programed in. After getting Ali settled I would run down stairs and get Caroline and do the routine all over again. Both girls slept in late every morning.
On the last full day we stopped at Castaway Cay- Disney's own private island. I ran the 5K- I haven't done a race since I had Ali and I really enjoyed this one.
After my race it was beach time
The pictures are a little hazy because I had my waterproof case on my phone
There was a giant double twisty slide Caroline and I had to swim out to. We raced down a few times. She beat me every time!
Because Disney owns the island all the food and ice cream was free. It was a really fun day at the beach.
The kids asked to go to the Kid's club before dinner and wanted to stay so Chris and I ate Dinner alone. It was glorious!
We had the best vacation! What a magical age to take a 3 and 6 year old. Everything was so fun and real. It has been my favorite family vacation so far!
A couple of pictures in the airport:
See Ya Real Soon Disney World!
