Ali" I like going out of town for the snacks- especially those red chips" (she means doritos)

When she was helping sell girl scout cookies, "Want to buy some Peanut butter Patios?" (peanut butter patties)

Ali: "Mom if I was a villian in real life my name would be Terror."

Ali had her birthday party at Play Street Museum

I did a terrible job getting pictures.  I just enjoyed watching her play with her friends and being the center of attention.  Also this morning she made the entire preschool Sunday school classes sing happy birthday to her.

Caroline got Ali skates for her birthday so they could skate together.  She loves them.  They are both skating around the house like sonic car hops.

Snow Day

We woke up Saturday morning to snow! Caroline and Ali couldn't make a snowman with it but they did throw it at each other, make snow angels and ice skated on the sidewalk.

For Christmas the Hendricks family gave the girls Build a bear gift cards.  Ali waited until January because she has been wanting a new Birthday Bear.

Both Ali and Elsa bear were wearing matching PJs.  Birthday bear has gone to school and gets to snuggle with Ali at nap time.

another Hendricks favorite is these blue tooth microphones.  They have given up lots of entertainment.

We had to run an errand at Texas tech and I took the girls to the building I had most of counseling classes.  Caroline instinctually knew to throw up her guns.  I'm so proud!

Caroline and Ali have turned the playroom into a classroom.  Caroline has been teaching Ali math facts and working on her handwriting.  Caroline is using her Harry Potter wand as a pointer.

Horse riding started back up this year.
 New helmet and new boots.

She didn't really like the horse named Gunner but her new horse blue has been sick. Caroline asked if she could use another horse next week if Blue is sick.  She is getting better about speaking up for herself.

Ali had the basement all to herself because Caroline spent the night at a friend.  She likes being

Texas Tech Basketball

Caroline was invited over the Christmas break to help with the National Anthem at the girl's Texas Tech Basketball game.

Her cousins came to support her.

And they even made the Jumbo-tron!

Walking out on the court

Caroline said it was really exciting standing out there.

Enjoying a snack

Ali was really nervous about Raider Red the mascot so after Caroline left the court Ali got her candy and left with dad.    We all met at Nana and Papaw's house for Pizza afterward.

Cousin Time:

Chris and I found our old game cube and set up Mario Kart.  The kids loved it!
