Christmas with the Prathers

We started Christmas break off with looking at Christmas lights.  First stop was hot chocolate at Starbucks.  Then we went to a few really festive neighborhoods while singing loudly to Christmas songs.

We stopped at Nana and Papaw's house. It was a great way to start the break.

Next day we had a cookie party with Aunt Jacee, Whitley, Abby and Sawyer.

Sunday the David family made it to Texas!

Sorry the game
Caroline was pumped to have so many people to play card games with her.

 Monday: Christmas Eve
Ali made her favorite chocolate cookies and Caroline made her favorite fruit salad to take to the Prather family Christmas.

We were completely spoiled.  It was so fun watching everyone open their gifts.

Ali got a pretend coffee maker from Kelley and Dusty and was serving coffee all night

One of the ribbons fell off Caroline's present.  She thought it made a great necklace.  After a late night with Nana, Papaw, Mimi, Kelley, and  Dusty.  We came home to get ready for SANTA.  There is a SANTA tracker online so we were able to see exactly where he was.
SANTA CAME!!!

Caroline got Ali a new Rapunzel dress.  This year both girls saved up money for each other and both really thought what their sister wanted.
Ali got Caroline a really soft blanket.  She saved up for almost 2 months to get it for her.

Caroline asked Santa for a horse and bike.  Santa knew she needed a barbie horse and she got a big girl bike.

Ali asked for a real stethoscope and Santa also brought her a barbie ambulance.

We headed to the Carter Family Christmas lunch both girls slept most of the way.

All I want for Christmas

I was finishing up dinner when I heard:
"Mom! Ali sat on my face and knocked my tooth loose!".
Coming from the bathroom....
Sure enough Caroline's other front tooth was hanging by a thread and blood was everywhere.  Ali felt bad because apparently she put a wrestling move on Caroline and body slammed her. Caroline was not upset and excited to loose the other tooth to get money for Christmas.

Right before bed she popped it right out!

All she wants for Christmas is her two front teeth!

We went to see Santa.  Ali was all about it until we were next in line and then she decided she WAS NOT going to sit in his lap.  She is very suspicious of people and does not like mascots or characters of any kind still.  We had a birthday party for Jesus at church and she asked with a scared voice "Is Jesus going to be there?" She was worried character Jesus was going to show up and blow his candles out.
She did say when she turned 4 she would take a picture with Mickey Mouse..... We shall see....

A few pictures from the week:

Tea party: Pinkies out!

Advent week 2: Peace

Tuesday: Caroling at the nursing home with Caroline's Daisy troop. Ali sang GO TELL IT ON THE MOUNTAIN at the top of her lungs!

I did a terrible job getting pictures because I was in charge of so many little girls but here is one of Ali asking for a candy cane to hand out.
"Mama, can I  have one for the people and one for me?"

This was the shirt the girls were suppose to wear to the parade but since it was canceled they wore it to the Church Christmas party.

Caroline got chosen to do a minute to win it game. She had to stack the fruit loops on the tongue depressor in one minute.  She came in 2nd place!

Ali is not wearing lipstick- she ate 3 HUGE red sprinkle cookies.  She was having a hard time not doing laps around the room she was so hyper.

At Caroline's piano lesson Ali and I sit on the waiting couch.  For the last couple of weeks we have been reading the real Wizard of Oz book because it has been too cold to run around the track.  18 chapters and we finished this week!
