South Plains Fair

It's Fair time! This year we went during the week on teacher's night.  We went right after school and didn't have to wait in any lines.  This year Ali got to go into the petting zoo and LOVED it.  The sheep made her laugh when they swished their tails.  She ran around that pen saying "Baaaaaa".

Caroline was excited when daddy gave her 15 tickets!

Since my dad is a Shriner clown, we supported the Shriners by buying a corndog. Ali really likes corn dogs so she approved!

Ali enjoyed eating corn from her cup and read a book while Caroline rode the bigger rides.  She was pretty content in there.

On the way out Caroline got a pepperoni pizza to eat in the car. We left just in time because the lines were crazy long around 7:00. It was fun!

First Field Trip

Caroline had her first field trip to the apple orchard on Thursday. Her class all wore the same shirts and had name tags on their back. She was so excited to ride the bus and bring a lunchable (My mom only bought lunchables on field trip day- I understand the convenience of a lunchable now). Each kid was paired up with a buddy,  Caroline's buddy was Brooklynn.  It was fun to see her interact with with her friends.

Caroline had her 2nd soccer game this last weekend.  The Cupcakes got their uniform at practice Thursday and we tried it on the day of the game.... It did not fit.... mom of the year. I couldn't get the shorts tight enough and they kept falling off her.  On the way to the game we stopped at Cardinals and the only 4T shorts I could find had USA down the side.

 Caroline had a lot of fun this game and wanted to get the ball.

She ended up scoring three goals! 

We were in charge of soccer snacks this week.  She wanted Oreo Thins and strawberry juice and was so proud to give it to her friends.

 Mimi fixed her shorts and uniform so now it all fits!

Caroline's teacher texted me this picture on Wednesday.  Pre-K got to use voting booths while voting for their favorite apple.

On Saturday my parents came after their tailgate with twice baked potatoes.  Chris smoked ribs, Nana, Rick and Mimi brought salad, rolls while Kelley and Jacee brought desserts. It was amazing having everyone there cheering on Tech.

Sunday morning for church Caroline picked her whole outfit out herself.  She was proud!

Ali helped me make breakfast for dinner.

Today was professional development for Lubbock isd.  Caroline went to work with Daddy and I was able to meet these 2 for lunch.
