Little Graduate

Ali graduated from Kindergarten.  She still really wants to be an illustrator when she grows up.  She also mentioned this week she wants to be a dentist but she thinks she not have to go to one is she becomes one.....

There were a couple of tornado warnings this week.  I love the rain can do not enjoy tornados

 Ms. Tarrant came to Caroline's class to watch her awards.  She is really sweet to Caroline.

I was going to take a picture of Caroline's award but as soon as I laid them down Pip ran over to get into the picture.

Saturday:

Ali is finished for the season.  She really liked her team and I think they are going to try and play together next year.

The soccer pool party was a success.  All the little kids wore life jackets which made it easier on the lifeguard.  

Sunday

The girl scout council had final awards. 

I didn't do a very good job of taking pictures but both Caroline and Ali were honored with awards.  Caroline earned her a pearl necklace.  What a fun year it has been. 

Sunday night was papaw's birthday party. 

The Ship

Caroline's team had her final tournament this weekend.  They made it into the championship.  

The first game they won 26-6. Caroline made a wide open shot.  She is so fast her best bet is to race to the block when one of her team mates steals the basket. 

The second game was a nail biter!  We one in triple over time sudden death.  Caroline played all 4 quarters and 2 OTs.  She played amazing defense and had several assists to teammates.  

At tip off the referee had Caroline and another small player on the opposite team do jump ball.

It was a great game to watch and even better because Caroline's team won!

Fun Run Race

The children's minister put a  really fun family event together on Sunday. Our church hosted a family one mile fun run race.   2 times around the church and church parking lot is one mile.  She made 8 obstacles within the lap and we had to complete all 8 at some point in the 2 laps.  Each family was given a lanyard with a laminated card.  On it was all the obstacles. We had to get one hole punched after we completed each obstacle.  Before the race started there was worship and pray.  Ali helped lead worship for the grown-ups.  

There were 40 families who entered.  Family members had to stay together to complete each task.  

At the starting line Ms Joy blew an airhorn while the participance pulled confetti poppers. 

Before the race started Caroline suggested we skip the first 2 obstacles the first lap and hit them on the 2 lap.  This was a great strategy because the line for those first 2 got really long.

My water balloon picture didn't turn out very good.  

Neither girl wanted to walk and our family came in 3rd place!

We won a water balloon launcher and a $25 sonic gift card.  

The church brought in tons of food trucks.  Caroline got a Frito pie and a blue raspberry snow cone and Ali got a brick fired cheese pizza  with a blue coconut snow-cone.  The girls had a great time playing with their friends and eating good food.  

On Saturday:

At Ali's soccer game on Saturday she had a big audience.

Grandad, her great uncle Stuart and cousin Travis came to watch her. 

She didn't disappoint because she scored 4 goals.   

Kaden, Aunt Kelley and Uncle Dusty also came.
