Road Trip!

Adventure Race!
Teams of 2 will run, bike, and paddle their way around Russell park in Lake Georgetown. Teams can expect approximately 6-8 miles of paddling, 25-35 miles of biking, 10-15 miles of trekking.
Georgetown, TX- Adventure Race was awesome!

8:25 am
First- Christen and I were given a map find 3 different areas. We first took off to find our flag with our number on it. It was the easiest to find and the furthest point from the check point. The we ran to find the army man buried in the sand. After that we sprinted to the eggs and found out number. We ran to the check point and got our next clue.

9:25 am
On the bike- the mountain bike course was a little steeper and rocker then anything found in West Texas. It was awesome as I thought I was going to wreck more then once.

10:55 am
back to the run- 3 miles we found the first 2 check points easily- the 3rd was hard to find. It was a relief to spot the orange flag that signaled we were done with this part of the race.

11:25am
to the canoe:
The canoe was hilarious, Christen and I did a couple of circles before we figured out to get across the lake. When we were almost to the other side of the lake we realized we were still wearing our helmets. I laughed so hard as I realized that we looked ridiculous. We got the last 2 check points fairly easy. (there are not a lot of places to practice canoeing ing Lubbock)We got back to our bikes and raced to the finished.
We finished just over 4 hours.

We won the women's division.

After we were finished we went to Austin.
1. Showered at Ronnie's aunts
2. Ate at Chuy's
3. drove 7hours home

It was such a fun weekend.
