Saturday Spring Day

 Saturday morning Daddy decided that we needed to eat at Cracker Barrel for breakfast.  Caroline has been doing really good at restaurants.  She colored her menu, ate her oatmeal and sang to us {Sorry Mimi- We let her sing at the table.}

She was polite to our waitress and said "Thank you" for the chocolate milk.   It was a great way to start the day.  After breakfast Caroline and I went to the Science Spectrum.   It was the opening day for the penguin exhibit.  There were tons of people waiting in line to see them so we just  played in kid's play museum

She was the only one in there for about 30 minutes and liked having the run of the place! Finally other kids started trickling in so we went to the basement to see  the dinosaurs and fish tanks.  Very exciting news the little nurse sharks hatched from their eggs and were swimming around.  Caroline was pumped and kept waving and welcoming them to the world. We will go back to see the penguins some other time.

When we got home we decided it was much to pretty not to be outside. I put the turtle tent in the backyard & lined the floor with yellow butcher paper {courtesy of Monterey high school} Caroline colored and put stickers all over that place.  I left the backdoor open so I could periodically check on her.  At lunch time we both decided to picnic outside.
After a very long nap {Thank you Caroline!} we loaded up the car and went to the "duck park" as Caroline calls it.  We had some old bread that both daddy and Caroline happily launched it at the ducks.

It was beautiful day Saturday glad we had a chance to enjoy it.

Sunday- different story:  we woke up and it was snowing! Sara and I subbed in the 4 year old Sunday school class. I had a much more enjoyable experience with Sara then by myself.  The kids were great and Caroline got to join the big kids. After we got home we were stuck inside all day including the dogs. Cash and Lexi only went outside to eat and take care of business. Today looks much of the same: Cold and cloudy.... Come back Spring!

Side note: Caroline turned her closet into a gymnastic studio.  I walked out of the room for one minute and when I returned she had moved her pants to the side of the bottom rack and was swinging back and forth looking VERY proud of herself.  What can I say the kid is creative.
