Ali's Dedication

Yesterday was Ali's baby dedication at The Heights. Caroline was nervous to be in front of all those people.  She held onto her daddy tight.  Ali however was so excited to have an audience.

She "talked" the whole time we stood up. As we were praying she let out a loud "cooooooo".  Brandi {The children's minister} introduced us and Mike our pastor read her life verse.

Nana and Papaw & Lolly ,Granddad and aunt Jacee got to come too! This was the best part -having my babies surrounded by family.

Ali's best friend Andrea was also dedicated at the same time.  Both babies were dressed to impress in adorable dresses, bows and shoes! I love going through these experiences with Sara!

After church we went and ate at Rosa's for a mother's day lunch.

Caroline is apparently going through a growth spurt because she ate 2 bean burritos for lunch, drank a whole banana smoothie for an afternoon snack, dinner and then ate her weight in strawberries before bed.

My nephew Jaden was also dedicated at Dondi and Kyle's church in Vegas.  I got to watch it online at 1:00 Texas time. My sister is an amazing mom {I always knew she would be!}.  Dondi will be one of those moms where all of Jaden's friends want to hang out at his house.  She is laid back, & easy going- Nothing seems to bother her -{She is like Laura Carter in this way}  Then again I can also see her getting into a fight with another mom at a little league game because she will do anything to protect her cub.

Look at this little face- He is so adorable! I still have to wait 2 more months to squeeze those cheeks.

Other pictures from the week:

The little chicks hatched at the ag farm Thursday night.  I didn't get a picture of Caroline holding the chick.  It pooped in her hand so she decided she would just pet the rest.

Saturday the church had a princesses tea party.  The high school girls dress up like princesses and walked around and  talked to the little girls.  Caroline was starstruck and didn't say much until we got in the car.  The above picture made me laugh because it looks like Ali is cramming her face with a muffin.

Sitting at the cool table!

The city of Lubbock had this weird law on not letting food trucks in the city limits.  It is only recently that they could even set one up. Saturday afternoon daddy took his girls to eat from a food trucks event.  We all picked Mexican food.  Caroline ate a chicken "fijit-o" burrito.  I got one too. Chris got a steak something or other that was greasy and good.  We also let Caroline pick any flavor of snow cone from another truck. We met Sara and Andrew there.  It was a really fun day.

In honor of Laura Carter:

My mom is one of the smartest, funniest, most creative, generous person I know.  If I can be like anyone in the world it would be my mommy!
