This is Caroline's first of many years to participate in vacation bible school. I got roped into having a small class and tried to get Jacee to be my partner but as she loving put it, "I really only like kids blood related to me....". I was paired up with this young energetic grad student. This was great for me! (She is the one in the pink)
The theme was called Submerged. We played lots of water games and sea animal crafts but we focused of on Jesus encounter with people and how he didn't care what was on the outside but saw what was deep inside. The kids like the sea theme and could even answer some surface level Jesus questions. I even got one like this:
Me: "Who was Zacchaeus?"
3 year old boy, "He lived in a tree"
I did the best I could.
Ali stayed home with daddy and can start going in a few years.
Also our pool, Sun n Fun, opened last week so we have been going every chance we get.
Pip missed her people and is glad to be home!
