Stan-ta

Friday we had our Life Group's Christmas party.  It was really fun.  Everyone brought a side dish and our kids laughed and played together.  We sang happy birthday to Jesus and ate cake and then SANTA came! He read a story about the first Christmas and gave all the kids presents.

About 2 months ago my dad agreed to be Santa.  The person that organized everything said she owned a Santa suit. My dad showed up to the house and she forgot she didn't have a beard!  My dad is a smooth faced man. First suggestion my dad said he had white clown make-up in the car and he could make a white goatee.  He wanted to be- Stan-ta hipster Santa. Second suggestion and the one we went with was -Chris run to Walmart to find one. The only beard they had was in package with a full suit in it so that's the one we got!  {The Prathers now own a Santa suit with a fluffy beard}.
The kids were so excited to see Santa!

He was hilarious as Santa!  He read the story and made the kids laugh with his funny comments. He handed out presents to each kid.
When Ali got her gift she said "thank you where Lolly?"  HAHAHAHAHA!
The girl was onto grandad.  Caroline made a comment to me privately "Man,  Santa sounds just like Grandad".

When Santa left out the door Ali blew him a kiss.  She wasn't scared of Santa on Friday.  I walked Santa out.  He whispered ,"you need to let me back in because I'm not wearing pants under this Santa suit!" so we had to create a desertion for Santa to sneak back in and get dressed in his street clothes.
It was a really fun night!

Saturday we went to the Science Spectrum for their fun Christmas  experiments.

We decorated cookies

Then went to a showing of  Daniel Tiger's Christmas Winter Wonderland

This was the first time we sat in a theater setting with Ali and she LOVED it! She was hilarious pushing the chairs up and down

Look at that cool kid! She is so funny!
