Daisy Troop 6444

I took my little daisy girl scout troop to Camp Rio Blanco on Saturday for a day camping trip. Caroline and I were up really early Saturday.

Ali decided she wanted me to take her picture too because she was up eating breakfast with us.

We arrived at camp and hiked to the fire circle

Getting ready to start the day.  They sang silly songs and then went on a hour hike.  We were so hungry at the end!  We packed a sack lunch and it was probably the best peanut butter sandwich I have ever eaten!

In the afternoon the camp had crafts, games, and playtime for the girls.

They made pinatas, and ponchos because we went on Cinco De Mayo.

Next, they built pyramids in the sand.  Caroline's favorite part was collecting cottonwood tree branches.  When you break it at the knot there is a star. She was so amazed at this we brought 50 sticks home with us!

Last they did a Mexican dance. She said this was her least favorite part but she laughed through the whole thing so I know she enjoyed herself!

The girls had the best time! My car full of girls fell asleep almost immediately for the 40-minute drive home. it was fun!

On Sunday was Kelley's shower in Denver City.  The girls and I drove down right after church.  I showed the girls the Methodist church where dad and I got married.  They were not impressed with my old house or my old school but they did like the McDonalds.

Ali LOVED the spread they had for the shower.  The chocolate thumbprint cookies were her favorite! Caroline liked the black and white chocolate balls that turned her teeth black.

Silly kid was having a great time!
