The girls and I were driving down 114 today and all of sudden we saw a tornado come out of the sky! This is my NIGHTMARE!!!
When I was 10 years old living in Hereford we had to go into the hallway and wait out a tornado. My mom was in Friona training lifeguards so my dad was huddled in the hallway with Dondi, Jacee and I. I was so scared and anxious I threw-up EVERYWHERE! My poor dad was so reassuring. I saw him gagging as he cleaned it up but he was talking really calm and saying he would keep us safe. Meanwhile: My mom was huddled up in the fire house as the tornado actually hit the town of Friona. I have been afraid of Tornados as long as I can remember. I begged Chris for a basement when we were looking for a house 3 years ago.
You can imagine my surprise when I was driving down the road and I saw the tornado form and come straight down. I know this was a little dinky tornado but I had the same fears that rose up. My hands started shaking and my chest became tight. I pulled the car over so as not to endanger my kids. Caroline and Ali were so excited and could not stop talking about it.
GLAD IT IS OVER!
