Chris earned a trip to Huntington Beach, California 

We Landed at John Wayne Airport on Wednesday night.  My dad loves John Wayne so we sent him this picture.  

The weather was amazing- 70's in the morning and we needed a sweatshirt to walk around.

The first day we went swimming at the resort

That night we watched Inside Out 2- 

We ate at Cheese Cake Factory.  The waitress brought out the biggest piece of broccoli on a kids plate.  We laughed really hard

Friday we took Surfing lessons

The lesson was 2 hours long.  Ali was the first to get up, then Caroline and I was last.  Caroline got the most confident and for sure got the most waves.   

Ali spent the last hour perfecting the body surf and decided she liked that the best.

I was so so so sore - I did stand up and was able to successfully surf twice.  I can now check

Ali edited this picture.  It makes me laugh because Caroline was wearing a frisbee in her hair and acting completely ridiculous but Ali managed to make Caroline look sophisticated . 

Friday Night we did an escape room.  It was one of the harder more complicated escape rooms and very fun!

Saturday Morning we spent the day at the beach

both Caroline and Ali body surfed all day

Saturday night we went over to  Disney 

We tried the world famous Disney Churro 

and the beignets! Delicious! 

Sunday we rope dropped Disneyland and were able to ride everything in Adventure land, Frontierland and Toon town and Fantasy Land before lunch.   

Big Thunder Mountain  and Pirate of the Caribbean were very different from the Disney World

After lunch we went back to the hotel to rest and swim.

In the afternoon we came back to go the California Adventure side 

It was such an amazing trip!
