Miles

 During our morning routine I get Caroline up, change her diaper and feed her oatmeal or cereal depending on her request.  She typically still eats in her PJs because she hasn't mastered eating yogurt without smearing it everywhere. After she starts eating we talk about what we are going to do that day and then we pray for people. 

She always wants to immediately pray for Nana, Papaw, Mimi, Lolly and Grandad.  

Then she prays for all her aunts and uncles and cousins (even the one in Dondi's tummy)  

Then she prays for Sam in Dallas and Ms. Amy and Mr. Gian.

Then Ms Sara and her dogs 

After that we have been praying for Brooke, Cade, Madden and Miles and especially for Miles to heal his body.

 On Monday night we got the sad news that Miles had passed away from his heart condition called HLHS.  On Tuesday morning we started to pray for comfort for Brooke, Cade and Madden. 

This morning while we were praying Caroline asked "Where Miles go?", I just looked up at her and started to speak but before I could she said "Miles wis Jesus." in a very matter of fact tone and went back to her oatmeal.  Then she had to say "no cry mommy" because at that point I lost it.  

Miles was born on March 17th, 2014 & only lived for 10 short weeks. I have sat down to write this blog about 6 times now and just can't find the words to express how I feel. My heart aches for my friend Brooke.  All I know to do is to pray for her and her family and to take comfort in Caroline's words: "Miles wis Jesus"
