First Full Christmas Week

Wednesday, December 3rd: We read Christmas Mice.  It's a cute story about Mice  getting ready for Christmas. They leave for to go caroling. When they get home they discover a cat has left a gift of cheese on their door.  The mice decide to give  the cat a cookie.

We talked about giving gifts & how it makes people feel when you are thinking about them. She seems to really like picking out and making gifts for people.   Caroline picked out baby Jaden's gift- Jaden still hasn't made an appearance but when he does there will be a gift waiting for him. On Wednesday we also painted brown handprints getting ready to send Christmas cards to family.

Thursday, December 4th - Christmastime is Here is a flip book about different Christmas scenes.  I brought home light blue butcher paper from school and we painted snowmen with Do-a-Dot art markers.  We ended up drawing animals and spelling words but she liked it.

Friday, December 5th -That's not my Penguin. Chris put up our Christmas decorations Thursday night and surprised Caroline on Friday morning.  She was so excited to see the penguins! Our neighbors were headed to school and they stopped to see them too.  Caroline was proud to show them off.

Caroline spent the weekend with Nana and Papaw.  Here are a few pictures from their weekend!

Chris and I went to Rudioso.  Chris took his team for a planning weekend.  We had a great time.  On Saturday Chris's team spent the morning planning for 2015.  I got to run the powerpoint.  I was glad to sit in and hear what is going on in Chris's world.  It was nice to get away together- We slept in, ate great and laughed until I cried.

Monday, December 8th: My mom bought Caroline Santa Claus.  It's a rhyming book so we talked about words that sound the same.

Today we sent a Christmas ornament to my mom's aunt Wanda. Caroline "wrote" her a note saying Merry Christmas (a bunch of circles) and a picture of a lion.

Caroline painted the ornament 2 weeks ago.  She was excited to wrap it up and send it.
