Texas Independence Day

Caroline had Texas Independence day on Thursday. Pre-K got to go in western wear.   Caroline can still fit into her Sheriff Callie costume from last year so she excitedly dressed  up as a cute sheriff. After I took her picture Ali wanted to pose with the unicorn too.

Silly Ali!

This was on the school's website.  Caroline posing with Ms. B.   She was so excited to come home and tell me all about Texas.
Caroline: "Mom, did you know that the Texas bird is called the mocking jay?"
Mom: "really? do you mean the mocking bird?"
Caroline: "Maybe, but the flower is the bluebonnet."

Too bad Caroline hasn't read Hunger Games we could have had a good laugh about it. She is really into saying the pledge of allegiance right now and wants to say it before we pray every night.    She also says the Texas pledge with her hand out and she looks so proud when she does it.  At night she has been praying for our solders and telling God thank you for them.

Friday night shenanigans

Also Friday night the Pom sponsors is a really good work friend.  She was going to throw away this years pom poms and asked if I wanted a set for my girls.

I think I made the right decision!

Ali wanted to throw hers up and catch them.
Caroline was spelling all the words she knows in a cheer:
N-A-N-A go Nana! YAY!!!
R-E-D go Red! YAY!!
L-O-V-E go Love! YAY!!

This has been going on for a few days.
