Caroline's Baptism

The Lord is with you,
    He is Mighty to saves.
He will take great delight in you;
    in his love he will no longer rebuke you,
    but will rejoice over you with singing.
Zephaniah 3:17
Chris and I have been a member of The Heights Fellowship since 2010.  When we moved here we went to a few churches, tried a few life groups and always tried different aspects of a church before trying another one.  I was invited to a women's bible study by a friend for The Heights Fellowship on a Wednesday night and really enjoyed the people in the group.  It has been our church home since that time. I love this place and really believe in the mission of our church.

The Heights Fellowship has exceptional pastors leading the church but one minister stands out for our family.  Joy Urlaub is very best children's minister. She has loved my children since they were babies.  She loves the Lord and her job and it shows through every scripture, lesson, song & fun she prepares each week for all ages.

During quarantine when everything was closed down Ms. Joy met with each grade level and age group once a week and did fun Zoom meetings with the kids worshipping together and having small lessons.  She put materials on the porch so we as a family could study together.

Caroline has been asking a ton of questions about God, Jesus and being a christian. A few months ago we are just talking before bed and Caroline told me she was ready to accept Jesus. It was a very humbling experience. Thankfully one of the packets was for parents and had a "Salvation Prayers" page.

Last month Ms. Joy hosted a New Christian party.  It had birthday cake and a new study bible as a gift.  Both Chris and I went with Caroline.  Ms. Joy talked about different disciplines when following  Christ.  Chris and I talked to Caroline about getting baptized.  Caroline said she was ready to show the church that she had accepted Christ.

Ms. Joy had Caroline record this video to play during the service.  Caroline was so nervous but I am so thankful she will always have this video to look back on and remember making this decision.

Nana and Papaw, Lolly and Grandad came along with Aunt Jacee.  It was so special to have everyone there.

 I just cried the whole time......

After Caroline -Ali went on stage to lead Worship.  It was just such a special service.

The church posted Caroline's Baptism video on their facebook page to share.  One of Caroline's friends saw it and told her mom she wanted to get baptized too.
