Ali-gator Song

Picture from last week- Caroline made a trumpet from her Koala crate and she wanted Ali to try it out.

My mom used to sing lots of really silly songs all the time growing up.  Lately Dondi has been singing them to my nephew and every time we face time or talk she brings up more songs that I completely forgot about. One such song is the Alligator song. Yesterday I was singing this song making Caroline laugh hard.  She thought I made the song up for Ali.
(Chorus)
Alligator
Alligator!
ALLLLIGATOR!
Could be your friend, could be your friend, could be your friend too.

The alligator is my friend
He can be your friend too
I'd rather have him as my friend,
then wear him as a shoe (point to shoe)
(Chorus)

She belted this song all over the house.  Last night when I thought she was asleep I heard  her still singing this song at 9:00pm  just as happy as she could be.

A couple of things from last week:
School Picture came in - Ali's face makes me laugh!

On Thursday I took Caroline for a surprise lunch at Chick fila.  They eat lunch at 10:45 so I tried to time it just as they were walking to the little cafeteria.  She was pumped to get to go.  After we ate she was finishing up her ice cream cone so I went through car wash so she could eat it before we went back to school. When I dropped her off she announced to her teacher and friends that we got a car wash and that is were she was. Apparently they were impressed.....

This picture is hard to see but Caroline hurt her toe  after church on Sunday.  During her nap she propped it on a pillow.  What was silly was she had Harper's little foot up on the pillow along with Minnie mouse and the Velveteen rabbit.

This weekend Amy's sister Ellen face-timed from Dallas to helped us with  Ali's limited neck movement.  We do the stretches 3X a day and what a difference it has made! We do the stretches in front of the mirror and Caroline sings to her to help her stay calm.

Also this weekend Caroline built a bear trap out of her beads Aunt Kelley got her. It was a pretty elaborate trap. She has a love/hate relationship with the book "Going on a Bear Hunt". She wants to read it ALL the time but sometimes we have to skip the end and most night we have to take the book with us as if the bear will jump off the pages if we leave it in her room.  This trap she ensured me will keep the bear out of her room.
