Beverly and Ricky brought us the Prather family piano last week from DC. It was really heavy so we inlisted the help of Dusty and Kelley's friend Josh to help carry it from the back of truck to the dining room. The girls were pumped to have the piano!
We have had concerts morning, noon and night. When one decides to play a song the other feels the need to join! I love hearing their little voice singing songs (mostly made up). Caroline's favorite real song is "Let it go" and she belts it! Ali sticks to the classics "Itsy Bitsy Spider" and "Happy Birthday". Most of the time the concerts include songs about nonsense which I love!
Caroline will start
piano lessons in summer with an older woman named Joy that said she likes to start with 5
years olds in the summer. She likes to have a parent there so they can hear how
to help the kids during the week.
We are loving our new toy!
Also this week:
Ali had picture day.
Playdoh playtime after dinner
and a little drive time
Silly Girl!
Soccer this week:
At practice.
Caroline likes to get there a few minutes early to play on the playground.
Ali spends 45 minutes every Thursday playing on the playground and loves it!
From the soccer game this week.
Papaw took these action shots. Caroline is a good little
soccer player when she gets in the game but she gets nervous before she goes
in. She will say her stomach hurts and she feels sick. Both Chris and I are like this so she gets it
from her parents. I used to get sick
before track meets….. Who knows why…. My dad once told me there were a few
football games he did the same thing. HA! Not really something I want to pass
onto her. It’s weird watching Caroline
handle and process the same way I do. I
want her to find things she enjoys and be confident enough not to get worked up
about it. A little nervousness is ok but not to the point of feeling sick! I still haven’t figured this out. Caroline
does like the soccer snack though and will play her heart out for a cupcake!
