Last Friday I got Lasik from a local place here in town. I did a ton of research. The Dr. that preformed my surgery also is one of leading corneal transplant doctors in the ophthalmologist field. He just happens to do Lasik/ PRK vision correction on Fridays.
I went to work Friday morning to get the day started and then Chris drove me to the eye center. They gave me a Valium right away which helped me relax.
Chris got to watch the procedure behind glass. The whole thing took 15 minutes. Afterwards Chris stopped for Lunch- I ate and went to sleep for a few hours. I woke up feeling great and was already able to see 20/20. Caroline went to my follow up appointment on Thursday and I can see 20/10. Everything looks like it is in HD! This is the greatest gift. Also as a bonus my eye dr gave Caroline a quick exam and she was 20/15.
The girls spent the weekend with Lolly. I wasn't sure how carefully I would need to be. They had the best time!!
Sunday night everyone was back home.
Here are a few pictures from the week:
Ali ran and tackled this ball and it kept flinging her to the floor. It was hilarious.
I took a picture of the back of Caroline's head so she could see it and Ali decided she needed to pose. (She likes to sit on her knees at the table because she DOES NOT like the booster)
70 degrees calls for dinner in the fort. Daniel Tiger also got to slide several times.
The tulips bulbs Chris planted are starting to grow. They are very small but we are excited!
This week was Monterey Magic. It's like a pep rally to get upcoming 9th graders excited about high school. Both my kids think high school is all about pep-rallies, sports, concerts and parades because everything they go to is really fun. I got introduced- Ali waved to the crowd and Caroline hid between my legs.
How is it not having to wear contacts or glasses anymore?
