My grandparents live in Startford, Texas. This place is a huge part of my childhood. Dondi and I reminisced on how many memories we had and we were pumped to get to share with our kids.
Favorite dangerous trampoline.
Ali found the stereo and asked me what a tape cassette was.
Having fun at Grandmother's house
Abby found an Alligator hat
Ali-gator
Abby and Caroline
This picture is up in my grandmother's house.
The bottom little girl is my mom in the oval office with her brother Andy, Mom and Dad. I think it looks just like Caroline with dark hair.
Playing in the backyard
Caroline jumped out of the tree which is a big moment for her. I see her getting more and more sure of herself this summer. She is getting so big!
Saturday afternoon we went out to my Uncle's house to eat and set off fireworks
Jaden and Caroline playing together
Horse'n around
Sitting in the back of the gator or "tractor" as Ali called it
Chris held Ali and helped her pet the horses. She loved the buffalo but was glad it stayed away. My cousin Tanner is an animal lover and as so knowledgable about all the animals.
Jaden eating
Abby enjoying the watermelon and getting Dondi sticky
Abby getting ready for the fireworks
Poppers
All the cousins getting to do sparklers
Caroline loved the smoke bombs
My cousin Tanner showing Caroline how to hold a roman candle
Ali's favorite part was the dance party. Daddy played a few of the kids favorite songs while we waited for it to get dark.
Ali's favorite song to dance to is the Trolls "Can't Stop the Feeling". She has the cutest dance moves. Caroline did several cartwheels and spins and Jaden wanted to do what Caroline did.
Extra long sparkler
Tanner put smoke bombs on the corner of the deck and Ali danced underneath it.
Jaden thought they were stinky. Me too, Jaden!
The smoke didn't stop Ali from dancing her heart out!
One of them fell over and Uncle Kyle had to kick it off the deck
At sunset Tanner and Kyle started setting the bigger fireworks off. Ali spent half this part walking around covering her ears.
More fireworks
And then a big roman candle
Ali say "cheese"
Silly cousins!
My phone died after this picture but Caroline and Ali had the best time staying up late and watching fire works. The really big ones Ali and I watched from the huge window inside my uncle's house. We got a front row seat as one of the fireworks turned on its side and slammed into the window right where we were. Nothing broke but everyone outside ran for cover. My uncle Chris made the comment that it wouldn't be a Riffe firework show without something almost catching on fire.
True statement.
I'm glad I got to see my grandparents
One last jump in before we had to leave.
