Friday was my first official day of summer! Caroline must have known to be a little lazy because she didn't wake up till 9:00 am!! That evening we went to Abby & Josh's wedding. It was strange going to a wedding on Friday but there were lots of people there. Caroline wore this adorable dress from the Leidners. They even gave her the bow that went with it.
During the ceremony Chris walked Caroline around the First Baptist church in Levelland. She would not have sat through the ceremony quietly. {we can't bribe her yet}. They did a great job decorating the church. Josh got teary eyed watching his bride walk down the aisle. It was sweet.
After the ceremony Caroline got to play in the pews with daddy while I saw all my Levelland friends. A lot of the staff from my old school came because Abby's mom Nancy is a 6th grade teacher there, and abby's dad Mr. Bagget AKA Moose is the Supernatant. It was nice getting to catch up with so many of them. I really love Levelland-they have some good people working for the ISD.
We drove back to Lubbock and dropped Caroline at our house. Aunt Jacee was there to take over, she got her ready for bed & like any good Aunt let her watch Finding Nemo before bed. She didn't make it very long because I got a text pretty soon after we left saying she was out cold. Poor girl was worn out!
Chris and I went to the reception and sat with the Simpsons. They served brisket, green beans & had a mash potato bar.... Caroline would have been impressed. After eating cake & visiting with Bryan's parents, Chris and I took Logan home so he could sleep. we were happy to help them out. We knew Adriene and Bryan were going to have to stay and clean up. Logan was worn out and didn't even finish his bottle before he crashed in Caroline's bouncy seat.
We were so happy to celebrate with the bride and her family.
