Flowers

This afternoon we planted flowers.  We had planned on doing this around mother's day but it kept freezing randomly at night.  Hard to believe that was little over a month ago because it is now in the 100's. 

We went to Lowes and decided on little pink & purple petunias. They seem to do the best in the direct sunlight.  Caroline was really excited to "help"& loved getting dirty.  

{ Side story: Chris is drinking a sweet tea from Sonic in the picture below.  After working hard in the yard he took a nice long swig & was surprised to find a nasty fly that made it's way threw the straw and into his mouth!! YUCK!}

It's Caroline's job to remind me to water our flowers everyday.  We usually go outside in the evenings to check on the roses, get the mail, ride in the wagon and then push it around the driveway.  We will need to add watering the flowers to the list.
