Science Spectrum

Yesterday we went the science spectrum with one of Caroline's new buddies.  He is just 6 months old so Caroline showed him all the neat things they have in the small kids area while he watched from the sidelines.

There was a water station where she got soaking wet and splashed a lot of the water all over the place.  She played with bubbles, talked to the fish in the fish tank, threw the water toys in and made a huge mess with the water but the workers didn't care.  They encouraged it!

Then she rode the "roller coaster"- It was like a slide with a car propelling down the front. She went up and down it several times.

Her favorite room was the little store.  She stacked boxes and bananas for a while. Then she filled the grocery basket up only to throw everything out and do it again.  I also saw her sneak a lick in on a plastic banana and got really grossed out. She didn't try it again- it must have tasted bad.

The last room we went into  was the music room.  The Science spectrum was closing in 10 minutes so she banged on the piano in the short time we had.  They also had drums, xylophone {what her Aunt Teddie played in high school} floor piano, and some other instruments you hit with a mallet.

There were 3 other rooms we didn't have time to go into.  Hopefully next time we can spend time in those rooms.

We will be going back this summer.  They are having a petting zoo come at the end on June.  For the cost I think it is worth another trip.

  1. GAAH!! I love the science spectrum!! I remember visiting several times throughout my childhood, especially when I was old enough to go to the OmniMax Theater! Maybe Caroline can show Sam around next time we come to Lubbock!
